Everyday Entrepreneur
What it is
NACCE’s Everyday Entrepreneur Program combines entrepreneurship education with opportunities for students to pitch their businesses and compete for seed money. Its flexible participation levels help colleges support students from developing an idea to launching and growing a business.
How it benefits your college and students
Students can build business skills, prepare for pitch competitions, and pursue funding to test prototypes, reach customers, or launch their businesses.
Your college receives a ready-to-use Canvas course, a toolkit with sample rubrics and templates, an implementation checklist, and monthly consortium calls to exchange ideas, discuss pitch competition experiences, and connect with NACCE’s national network.
How educators can use it
Use the coursework to guide business development, adapt the toolkit’s rubrics for practice pitches, and help students explain how seed money would advance their business. Coordinate with your college’s program lead to connect students with pitch competitions and funding opportunities available at your participation level.
STRIVE
What it is
STRIVE is an entrepreneurship training program from Syracuse University’s D’Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF), offered in partnership with NACCE through participating community colleges.
It helps veterans, active-duty service members, Reserve and National Guard members, and their spouses develop business ideas and early-stage ventures through six weeks of training and continued support.
How it benefits your college and students
Your college offers eligible participants free entrepreneurship training leading to a certificate from Syracuse University upon completion. STRIVE connects your college’s military-connected community with practical entrepreneurship education and local and national support networks.
Through NACCE’s consortium resources, participants can access LivePlan for business planning and financial forecasting, along with pitch templates, coaching, and practice activities to prepare for funding or support opportunities.
How educators can use it
Connect eligible students with your college’s STRIVE program lead. Use business-planning activities and LivePlan to help participants develop their ventures, and use pitch templates and coaching guides to support practice presentations and feedback.
Coordinate with your program lead to connect participants with local resources and continued support through the IVMF network.
